Quality Traffic from Craigslist

Now you always have to keep in mind where your traffic is coming from and why it's worth the effort. Not all traffic is equal and not all traffic will convert on your offer or sale either. If you target traffic that will almost always refuse a call to action than you are pretty much wasting your time.

For most people the goal is to generate lots of traffic for their product or service and produce a general result. This result is most commonly a sale or action of some sort by the visitor that in turn generates profit or potential profit for the host. So in other words you want your traffic to do something when they visit!

Over the years people have used traditional classified ads such as the local newspaper to generate traffic. This could be traffic for something they are trying to sell, a service they are trying to provide or a job position they are looking to fill. Now that people look online now for classifieds now more than ever Craigslist has really exploded in the free classified market.

The reason traffic from craigslist is quality traffic and not just some casual web surfer is because of the nature of the site itself. It isn't an entertainment site or a site to play flash games, craigslist is a site for people to post free classified ads to attract buyers. Almost all of the visitors to craigslist are there to take action or buy something!

Being able to generate visitors who are are specifically looking to take action or purchase your product or service is an amazing thing. This allows you to attract visitors who know what they want and are willing to go after it. This has allowed Craiglist ads to become an exceptional marketing tool for small businesses.

How to Target your Customers on Craigslist

No matter where you post your ad on craiglist it's going to receive some traffic. Of course some sections or categories receive more traffic than others but no matter what your ad will be viewed. The real trick is placing your ad in the right category or section to target your customer.

Usually it's pretty easy to choose the best category for your product or service because you already know a lot about it. The real question you have to consider is... are you placing your ad in a category best suited to attract your potential customers? Placing your ad in the correct category can be the different between 50 visitors and 500 visitors.

Make sure that when you post on craigslist you spend the time to make sure that you're doing it in a way that will target your customers properly. For example, if you're offering home loans you can do it in the services section where it probably should be or you could do it in the homes for sale section. This is a choice that is ultimately up to you and you need to test your results.

Most of the time when you post in the wrong category craigslist views get upset and tend to flag your ad as miscategorized. If your ad is flagged down quickly you've basically wasted your time posting and probably shouldn't even bother doing it at all. Create ads that will stick and if you're getting flagged down it should be a hint you're doing something wrong.

There is a lot of possibilties with marketing on craigslist and being smart about reaching your customers is always important. For example you could respond to agents in the homes for sale section on craigslist and ask them if they'd like to partner with you. They are essentially part of a the same market but they don't directly compete with you.

Every visitor that responds to their ad would also receive message from them about your home loan services. This is a great method to target potential customers while building successful and profitable relationships. Oh and did I mention that they are posting ads for you as well?

How to Generate Traffic from Craigslist

How to Generate Traffic from Craigslist

In order to be successful on the internet you need to be able to generate traffic to your website or product landing page. If you're not experienced in doing this it is quite difficult to organic traffic from search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. On the internet the more traffic your site receives the more money you make.

If your website is fairly new it's unlikely that you'll appear in the search engine rankings anytime soon. Your best bet is to use ads to generate traffic to your website while you wait for your site to be ranked well in the search engine rankings. The best free classifieds site, craigslist, is by far the best way to generate quick traffic to your site.

You can generate traffic by manually posting your website or product adds in the proper craigslist categories. This can be done by posting a link in your ad directly to your website. For example if you're looking to generate more mortgage leads you can advertise in the Services section of craigslist. Every day you post ads in the services section for high traffic cities and people looking for mortgage services will visit your website.

Posting only a few ads on craigslist in major cities can generate anywhere from 300 to 500 new targeted visitors to your website. If you were purchasing pay per click ads with Google 300-500 clicks would cost you anywhere from $15 and $500 depending on what search keywords you're trying to target.

Which would you rather choose? Instant targeted traffic for free or pay per click with Google? I'd rather pay nothing and get something for free. There is nothing better than a free lunch generously donated by Craigslist.

The more ads you place on craigslist the more traffic you receive. Manually posting ads yourself can be quite grueling and it's probably best that you either hire someone to do it for you or purchase some craigslist auto posting software.

If you don't already know this most apartment complexes and landlords advertise their units for rent on craigslist because of the amount of traffic they generate. It is a standard practice for most companies and it works out for renters as well because they are able to find tons of available rentals and find something that works for them within their budget.
